We opted to install additional drainage prior to the installation of the new turf. We put down 300 ft of Multiflow to drain off excess rain during the heavier downpours. We ran pipes under the sidewalk to take water away from the fall zones.

The grease trap from the kitchen is located under the fallzone for the Suite 300 playground.  We dug a hole and then constructed a 24x30 cover to allow us to get to the cover again in a few years.  The pad and turf were attached to this cover during the final install process.

Drain lines going to the back of the property.

Addtional of concrete slab for basketball court on the schoolage playground.

We of course broke a sprinkler line in the process. I think we got it fixed okay.

Gary adding a new skill to the resume (bobcat driver).  We took up the top layer of sod and 1-2 inches of dirt to prepare for the installation and to allow drainage pipes.  Use of a heavy duty tiller was needed to break up the hard clay.

Randy is taking down the fence between the two playgrounds.

We had a number of “Field Trips” for the older kids to watch the construction.

We placed fabric beneath the multiflow to reduce the amount of dirt and clay that would work into the drainage system.

We had to use a smaller diameter pipe to fit the small opening between the concrete walkways.
